Kelly O'Donnell, LCSW

Healing the whole person.

Kelly earned her B.A. in Psychology from Lindenwood University in 1997 and her Master's in Social Work from the University of Illinois in 2003.

In 2008, at 34 and with a 1-year-old baby girl, she had a stroke. After she recovered, she began learning about nutrition and mind-body health, and in 2011 she became a certified health coach through The Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

She noticed that some things talk therapy could not heal, and in 2015 she trained in EMDR. Since then, her practice has changed completely.

“I am honored to be a witness to my clients' healing.”

How we work
01

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. Kelly learned about EMDR in 2015 and was trained right away.

02

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

A short-term, goal-oriented way to challenge irrational or negative thoughts, with tools like journaling and relaxation.

03

Internal Family Systems

IFS works with the parts within each person and helps put the caring, capable Self back in charge.

04

Motivational Interviewing

Finding your own inner reasons and willingness for change.

04 · Health coaching

A coach and a licensed therapist.

Kelly is both a certified health and wellness coach and a licensed therapist, so she can address both the behavioral and emotional sides of health. The approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats and proteins, or to create lists of good and bad foods. It is to discover simple new foods that work with your lifestyle.

For addiction, she also offers EMDR Therapy for Addiction, using the DeTUR (Desensitization of Triggers and Urge Reprocessing) protocol.
